The latest location buzz for The Dark Knight Rises
Bruce Wayne has reportedly found himself a new stately Wayne Manor for The Dark Knight Rises.
Hollywood Chicago and Batman-on-Film report that Osterley Park, a late 18th century country estate in London, has been chosen to double as Wayne's home, which has been reconstructed since being destroyed in a fire at the end of Batman Begins.
Its official site says: "This summer we are taking the rare step to close Osterley House to the public for 4 days, on 15, 16, 17 and 22 June for private hire. In addition, we are closing some rooms of the house on a phased basis from 19 May to 3 July."
As Hollywood Chicago reports, "Osterley Park is the inside of Wayne Manor for The Dark Knight Rises. Three rooms will be used: the dining room, the study and a third room we don't currently know. It was mentioned the study has a secret exit that will lead to the Batcave. We are guaranteed a sighting of Alfred (Michael Caine), Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) and I think Selina Kyle/Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) as she's likely to be having dinner with Bruce."
In related news, Batman-News cites a tweet from Mayor Cory Booker wherein he said he'd met with the production team behind The Dark Knight Rises who said they want to shoot scenes in Newark, New Jersey, most likely this fall.
Finally, Highland News reports that TDKR will shoot scenes at Inverness Airport in Scotland in the next few weeks. Their source claims the airport will be used "to shoot various aerial scenes."
